How to Use Live Resin
Live resin can be consumed in several ways depending on your equipment and preferences. You need a dab rig (glass water pipe with a banger attachment), a quartz banger, a carb cap, a dab tool, and a torch. Heat the banger with the torch until it glows red, then let it cool for 25 to 45 seconds depending on the thickness of the quartz and your preferred temperature. Target 480 to 550 degrees Fahrenheit for live resin. Place a small portion (rice grain sized) of live resin onto the cooled banger using the dab tool. Cap immediately with the carb cap and inhale slowly through the rig. The carb cap restricts airflow, which lowers the air pressure inside the banger and allows the concentrate to vaporize at a lower temperature, preserving more terpenes and producing smoother vapor.
Vaping Live Resin
Live resin vape cartridges and disposables are the most convenient way to use live resin. Live resin cartridges screw onto a 510 thread battery and deliver strain specific vapor with no setup. Different live resin formats have different shelf stability: crumble is the most stable (months at room temperature), badder and sugar are moderately stable (weeks to months), and sauce is the least stable (best used within a few weeks of opening). Across all formats, a sealed jar in a cool environment preserves quality significantly longer than an opened or poorly stored jar.
